A Journey of Hope: A Clearer Future Beckons Aditya:

Miena and David were overjoyed when they welcomed Aditya into their family of three boys. Originally from South Africa, they are now settled in Mussoorie with their children. On a visit to the ophthalmologist, the parents came to know that Aditya had congenital Glaucoma, a rare condition that occurs when the drainage canals in the eyes do not develop properly, leading to increased pressure and potential damage to the optic nerve. His condition was extremely severe as both corneas were completely cloudy and were not draining well, which could potentially lead to scarring and blindness. Miena's eyes filled with tears, and David's heart sank. The thought of their precious son facing such a challenge was overwhelming. Miena and David, an optometrist himself, was reassured by the doctor, that while the condition was serious, it could be managed with early intervention and treatment. The doctor recommended Dr. Shroff’s Charity Eye Hospital, Daryaganj to them. Miena and David visited Dr. Shroff’s Charity Eye Hospital and consulted senior glaucoma surgeon. The weeks that followed were a whirlwind of appointments, treatments, and emotional highs and lows. Aditya underwent surgery. The road to recovery was not easy, but Miena and David were steadfast. Aditya, has recovered and his parents are hopeful of him living a normal productive life. The family are grateful to the doctors and staff of Dr. Shroff’s Charity Eye Hospital for restoring Aditya’s sight and giving him a new life.
