Overview
Operational research is essentially carried out to explore the most efficient manner of delivering eye care to all sections of society at primary, secondary and tertiary level in our network.
Who We Are
The main objectives being to study various models for eye care delivery for adults and children and to implement effective models in our different geographies and settings. Some of the work already carried out and published includes studying a new door to door model for eye screening of children in urban slums, impact of door-to-door eye screening in villages on the sustainability of the vision centers and comparing school screening carried out by vision technicians versus teachers.
Some of the ongoing work involves models for increasing compliance to referral in community setting, comparing tele refraction with standard refraction and models for increasing willingness to pay for near vision glasses.
We are collaborating with organizations like Peek, Seva Foundation and IIPH-Hyderabad for this work.
