Profile

Dr Soveeta Rath is a faculty in the department of Pediatric ophthalmology, Strabismus, and Neuro-ophthalmology since 2017. She is also in charge of the Neuro-ophthalmology wing and ocular electrophysiology services. She is passionate, dedicated and sincere physician who believes to give best care to every patient.

She has received her postgraduate training and long term fellowship in Pediatric Ophthalmology, Strabismus and Neuro-ophthalmology from the prestigious L V Prasad Eye Institute, Hyderabad.  She is also a Fellow of the International College of Ophthalmology. She has performed over 200 pediatric cataract surgeries and over 2000 squint surgeries. She is actively involved in teaching and training and research in strabismus and neuro ophthalmology. She has special interest in pediatric and adult optic neuropathies, toxic neuropathies, ocular electrophysiology, pediatric cataract and complex strabismus surgeries. She has over 25 publications to her credit in various national and international journals. She is an active member of the Indian Neuro ophthalmology society (INOS), Strabismus and pediatric ophthalmology society of India (SPOSI), Delhi Ophthalmological Society (DOS) and All India Ophthalmological Society (AIOS). She won the best podium presentation in strabismus at AIOS 2021 and best case presentation in Neuro-ophthalmology at the annual DOS conference 2021 and 2022. She constantly aspires to improve eye health and visual disability.
