Profile

Dr. Obaidur Rehman is a Consultant in the Department of Oculoplasty and ocular oncology at Dr. Shroff’s Charitable Eye Hospital, New Delhi. He has completed his medical schooling from Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi. He received the Gold Medal during post-graduation in Ophthalmology and was honored with the ‘Best Resident Award 2020-21’ at Government Medical College, Chandigarh. Subsequently, he pursued long-term fellowship in Ophthalmic Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery and Oculofacial aesthetics from Sri Sankaradeva Nethralaya, Guwahati. He has a keen interest in research, with more than 50 academic publications in reputed peer-reviewed national and international journals. He has actively participated in multiple national and international conferences, and has delivered oral presentations at international conferences, including being the Chief Instructor at an instruction course at American Academy of Ophthalmology 2022, Chicago. He was awarded the ‘International Travel Scheme (ITS)’ grant by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India in 2022.  Apart from academic interests, he is an avid reader, writer, and has published a book of poetry in 2021. In his free time, he enjoys playing badminton.
