Who We Are

The Shree Baba Haidakhan Charitable and Research Hospital, Ranikhet, Uttarakhand, is under the management of Dr Shroff’s Charity Eye Hospital which enables the clinical and quality assurance aspects of eye care delivery. Catering to a sparse population in the hilly terrains of Uttarakhand, the hospital focuses on quality eye care delivery for the poorest sections of society.

The hospital provides eye care services to the Almora district and as of 2023 is serviced by 9 mobile vision centers- a unique model to meet the primary eye care needs of the population. The center received its NABH accreditation in January 2022.

Our Programs

Seva foundation

The Seva Foundation, and SCEH have partnered for a unique ongoing project- theNetra Seva Project, through which mobile vision centers have been setup in the region, between August 2021 and August 2025. The aim is to increase access to primary eye care services in hilly areas. The project has been active for just over a year and in this time 7261 patient have used out-patient services, 15 hundred spectacles have been given and 646 patients have been operated upon.
