Case story of the Mr. Ram Sanehi

Mr. Ram Sanehi is a 76-year-old man who lives in the Village Tateli, Block-Puwayan, and district of Shahjahanpur, India, He is one eye and second with complete corneal opacity and he is unable to do any daily activities due to poor vision in the only eye, he depended on a helping hand even to walk.

On 18th September 2024, his household was part of a Peek Powered Community Eye Health (CEH) screening program and Ms. Anamika did his eye screening at the doorstep and found the left eye with cataract and the right eye with corneal opacity and vision acuity mentioned PL-Ve in the right eye and HM+ in the left eye and decided to refer him to Puwayan Vision Center for details examination. The vision technician (Ms. Shabiya) did a details eye examination and decided to refer him for left eye cataract extraction surgery at the Mohammadi-Surgical Center, and he chose to avail of the hospital pickup services.

On 22.11.2024, Mr. Ram Sanehi underwent cataract surgery in his left eye and achieved 6/12 post-cataract surgery and came back by the same pickup services on the very next day, and further postop follow-up was done at the Puwayan Vision Center.

Post-surgery Mr. Ram can walk for basic needs without any support and was very happy to see the clear faces of his family and relative members, especially young members. He is pleased after cataract surgery and he expressed his gratitude to the Peek-Vision Foundation and Dr. Shroff’s Charity Eye Hospital.
