I believe human life becomes more meaningful and inclusive if we extend our support to the underprivileged sections of our society to minimize the burdens of their struggles against odds of life. To me it is not the amount but the willingness to be a part of this mission that is more important. Based on this conviction I searched for options and found free eye treatment services of SCEH for the needy people of our society suitably fulfilling my objective. Accordingly I decided to support their initiatives for the needy patients by offering my donations to SCEH according to my ability. I visited Dr. Shroff's Charity Eye Hospital for my wife's eye problem. It had come well recommended by my family. I knew about the expertise of the doctors but I was amazed to see the quality of work the hospital and staff were doing. I was impressed with the staff's behavior with patients which was warm and comforting. The hospital infrastructure, though old was clean and well maintained. I saw lot of patients who could not pay for their treatment but were being treated with care considering their board mandate of 50% surgeries are to be done free of cost. Blindness in Saharanpur is a significant health concern. Increasing access to eye care, raising awareness about preventable blindness, and providing free or low-cost treatment can help reduce visual impairment. Recognising this urgent need, ITC Limited partnered with Dr. Shroff’s Charity Eye Hospital (SCEH)to bring quality eye care directly to those who need it most. With ITC’s support, we launched 𝐌𝐨𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐞 𝐕𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐬 (𝐌𝐕𝐔𝐬) 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞-𝐨𝐟-𝐭𝐡𝐞-𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐞𝐲𝐞 𝐜𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐬 𝐨𝐧 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐞𝐥𝐬 that bring diagnosis, treatment, and surgical referrals to the most underserved villages. Impact at a Glance: - 200,000+ 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐌𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐬 screened through door-to-door screenings - 24,000+ 𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 thoroughly examined for ophthalmic issues - 1,200+ 𝐟𝐫𝐞𝐞 𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬 done And we’re not stopping there. With ITC’s continued support, we’ve expanded to two more vans, reaching even deeper into rural communities. Equipped with cutting-edge ophthalmic technology and staffed by trained optometrists, these vans detect and prevent blindness before it’s too late. 𝐃𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐫 𝐒𝐩𝐨𝐭𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭: 𝐍𝐢𝐤𝐨𝐧 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐚

When a shared vision turns into a shared journey. In the summer of 2023, a powerful partnership began between Nikon India Private Limited and SCEH, driven by a belief that when you empower a woman, you uplift an entire family. The Nikon–SCEH journey began with the training of 40 women in Delhi and Uttar Pradesh to become ophthalmic assistants. Last year, that number grew to 51, and with Nikon’s support, we also inaugurated a fully equipped Optical Lab. As Nikon’s MD, Mr. Sajjan K., shared after visiting the hospital, “Supporting a woman is supporting a whole family.” To Nikon India, a huge thank you for your trust, for believing in women, and for seeing possibilities where others see limits.

𝐖𝐡𝐞𝐧 75 𝐂𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐥𝐞𝐬 𝐋𝐢𝐭 𝐚 𝐃𝐢𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐊𝐢𝐧𝐝 𝐨𝐟 𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐞

Most people celebrate their 75th birthday with family, cake and warm wishes. But Mr. Mridu Hari Dalmia, President at Dalmia Group Holdings, had a different idea. Instead of receiving gifts, 𝘩𝘦 𝘸𝘢𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘰 𝘶𝘯𝘥𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘩𝘰𝘸 𝘥𝘰 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘨𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘣𝘢𝘤𝘬 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘪𝘳 𝘴𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵? That curiosity led him to witness a live corneal transplant at LV Prasad Eye Institute. Walking out of the operating theatre, he made up his mind—to sponsor **75 sight-restoring surgeries**, one for each year of his life. That mission brought him to SCEH. But once here, his vision expanded beyond surgeries. Learning about the S V Glasses, he asked, *"𝘞𝘩𝘺 𝘴𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘷𝘪𝘴𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘭𝘰𝘴𝘴 𝘭𝘪𝘮𝘪𝘵 𝘢 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥'𝘴 𝘧𝘶𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘦?"* Now, through his trust, he's funding experimental tech in rural schools, partnering with blind institutions, and supporting university enrolment for visually impaired students. His reference point? Srikanth Bolla. "If we can help these children live fuller lives," he says, "God will take care of the rest." Mr. Dalmia doesn't see himself as doing charity. He sees himself as restoring potential that was always there. To us at SCEH, he represents something profound—true impact comes not just from the size of a donation, but from the depth of engagement with the cause.
