Glaucoma Awareness Walk

In India, nearly 12 million people above the age of 40 are affected by glaucoma, and about 1.1 million have already lost their vision due to the disease. (Source: The Hindu) Glaucoma is one of the leading causes of blindness worldwide. Often called the “silent thief of sight,” it develops gradually and may not show noticeable symptoms in the early stages, slowly damaging vision over time. On the occasion of World Glaucoma Week, the team at SCEH organized a Glaucoma Awareness Walk, with 75 participants joining the initiative. The walk aimed to raise awareness about the importance of regular eye check-ups and timely screening for glaucoma. We sincerely thank everyone who participated and supported this initiative.
