Launch of Smart Vision Glasses (SVG) Ultra – North Zone

Dr. Shroff’s Charity Eye Hospital | February 2026 | Low Vision Awareness Month Dr. Shroff’s Charity Eye Hospital hosted the North Zone launch of Smart Vision Glasses (SVG) Ultra, an AI-powered assistive device designed to support people with low vision in living more independent lives. The event began with a welcome address and ceremonial lamp lighting, symbolizing knowledge and innovation. During the program, dignitaries highlighted the importance of assistive technology and awareness about visual impairment. The hospital also shared that 2026 marks its centenary year, celebrating 100 years of compassionate eye care, serving over 10 lakh patients annually with 50% of services provided free of cost. The event featured a live demonstration of Smart Vision Glasses, showcasing advanced features such as text reading, obstacle detection, currency recognition, and multi-language support. Assistive devices were also distributed to beneficiaries, made possible through the generous support of the Dang and Dhingra families.
