Dr Shailja Tibrewal is a paediatric ophthalmologist, with specialisation in strabismus, neuro-ophthalmology and ocular genetics. She is an alumnus of LVPEI, Hyderabad, where she also did her Long Term Fellowship in Paediatric Ophthalmology, Strabismus and Neuro Ophthalmology. Her short term fellowship was in Ocular Genetics from National Institute of Health, Bethesda, US. She has been associated with Dr Shroff’s Charity Eye Hospital since 2013 in the department of Paediatric Ophthalmology, and is in-charge of the Genetics Clinic also at SCEH. Apart from clinical work she is involved in teaching of fellows and DNB residents in the institute. She also a member of the Clinical Audit Committee and Scientific committee of the Institutional Review Board of the organization.
With the expertise she has in her field, she has won many awards and recognition at various levels and represented at various national and international levels, including scientific talks in Delhi Ophthalmology Society and All India Ophthalmological Society. She has over 25 publications in peer reviewed journals. Besides clinical and medical field, she has interest in painting, badminton and music.
